San Francisco attorney Eric Safire is one of two candidates for an open seat on San Francisco Superior Court. He has never been elected to political or judicial office, and he’s running against a retired judge seeking a full-time return to the bench, so you’d think he had his hands full with this campaign.
But in a postcard he’s using for the campaign, the stately courthouse pictured is not S.F. Superior, but the Supreme Court of the United States. So maybe this is only the first step in a grand judicial scheme.
